As you gain altitude the oxygen level reduces but as you come closer to sea level the oxygen increases. If you stretch out dough you enlarge but it you squish it up it has less area.

Technically if you squish it up it will still have the surface area as the pre-image of the dough, right? If that is the case, then would that apply to the stretched out dough too?

if you get an a plus on a math test your smile is enlarged, if you go to your next period class and find out you got a 20 on your science test your smile is reduced in size. WHile some people might not consider this a lgeitmate answer, the surface are or percentage of your face covered by you smile (visible teeth) is actually enlarged or reduced. Also levels of dopamine in your brain( hormones responsible for happiness) is literally increased and reduced in volume. Hopefully none got a 20.

An example of enlargement and reduction would be a camera. When you zoom the lens in, the image becomes larger. When the lens is zoomed out, the image becomes smaller - a reduction.

One example of enlargement is the human body itself. As one grows older, they increase their size. However, their shape is still similar to the shape that they were as a baby. Therefore, it is an example of a dilation. Also, after a certain age, one's body begins to shrink, so that is an example of a reduction.

One example of an enlargement is human evolution. We went from being tiny microscopic particles to what we are today.( Yes yes we evolved from monkeys, but monkeys and every other living on this planet came from these organisms.) Also related to human development are reductions in toe size. Science says that because of the insignificance that the pinky toe has, it is slowly getting smaller in size as time is progressing .

At the mall, they make the one model of a shoe but dilate it to have different sizes to adjust to everyone's personal size. You can enlarge or reduce the size of the shoe.
