livingston and new dover road are cut by elmeyer avenue. Grove avenue and wood avenue have transversal: Livingston. Transversals are lines that intersect a system of parallel lines. Also if hallways were considered a line the hallway with the tech, art, and gym is parallel to the hallway with the library, stairs and Mrs.Mckenna's room. THe two lines are therefore cut by a transversal, the hallway with the home-ec class and mrs.logans class.

Actually, the tech hallway(8th gr) and main hallway(the one with the stairs) are intersecting. But the tech hallway is perpendicular with the 7th gr wing(where mrs. logan's room is.

New Dover Road and Oak Tree Road are a pair of parallel streets in our city Edison. They are cut by the transversal wood avenue. Other examples include the hallways in our school as they have worse traffic then most streets.

In Edison, Oak Tree Road and Inman Ave are parallel. They are cut by two transversals , Grove Ave and Wood Ave. Also, Shamrock Way and Grove Avenue are parallel streets but they are not cut by a transversal. Both streets north end is at Inman Ave.

Also Winding Brook Way and Lyle Place are parallel streets and their are cut by one transversal Beaver Ln. However, both have their eastern end on Rolling Brook Dr. But since that road does not cut through Lyle or Winding Brook Way, it is technically not a transversal.

In my neighborhood, a whopping 7 streets are all parallel to each other: includes W. First St, W. Shirley Ave, W. Locust Ave, W. Prescott Ave, W. Sherman Ave, W. Grant Ave, and W. Hegel Ave. They are cut by 4 transversals, and they are perpendicular (2 are on the endpoints): Feather Bed Ln, Beatrice Pkwy Ellis Pkwy, and Wood Ave, which happen to be parallel to each other as well
